Pinto bean prices were steady for most part. We saw another $1 shake down on the bid side of things out in North Dakota and Minnesota. Everyone seems to waiting for planting intentions due out on the end of the month. Bottom line- wait purchasing until planting indications come out
Light Red Kidney bean prices have established themselves this week in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota with mid to upper $60 handles and play catch up to Colorado/Nebraska. Bottom line- be careful with the sizable spread existing, someone has to give in soon
Small Red Bean prices were not established across the board and demand remains tempered at best.
Black bean prices continue to be pressured downward.
Bottom line- trend is steadily pointing downward
